Ceramic composites combine the properties of ceramics with reinforcing elements, enhancing their mechanical, thermal, and sometimes electrical characteristics. In this work, we studied single and multilayer coatings fabricated using a physical vapor deposition method. All the single-layer and multilayer coatings have the same total thickness and were fabricated on F82H substrate material. We investigated the deuterium permeation, Li-Pb corrosion, and electrical insulation properties of single-layer yttrium oxide and yttrium-aluminum oxide coatings as well as multilayer coatings with different layer structures.
