After the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident, it is reported that Cs-137 migration from the forest litter layer to the soil surface layer is faster than in forests affected by the Chernobyl accident. However, regarding the downward migration of Cs-137 within mineral soil, the difference from Chernobyl and the difference by soil type are still unclear. In this study, we summarize the results of the Cs-137 depth distribution survey and discuss the difference in the migration rate and soil type.
