The adsorption characteristics of anion nuclides on layered double hydroxide, a candidate adsorbent to be used for improving the retarded performance of nuclide migration in geological disposal, were evaluated. The results of this study confirm that the adsorption performance can be significantly improved by replacing the interlayer of CO₃^2- type LDH with ClO₄^-by the decarbonation ion method.
