Release of volatile ruthenium (RuO4) is a serious hazard of reprocessing facilities, and it caused by accidental failure of cooling system of high-level liquid waste. The authors conducted the research on RuO4 removal by zeolite as a potential countermeasure for the accident. In the present research, the authors investigated the influence of gas flow rate on capturing RuO4 by X-type zeolite, with a zeolite column installed into RuO4 migration equipment.
