[2O15] Statistical analysis of cascade cluster generation using molecular dynamics simulation

In irradiated materials, the incidence of high-energy particles leads to the formation of high-density point defects and defect clusters, which affect the microscopic structure and mechanical properties of the materials. The cascade process involves a series of events, including atomic collisions, local melting, cooling, defect recombination, and thermal activation. The complexity of this process promotes the formation of large-size clusters without the self-organization process of point defects. In this study, we simulate the cluster formation process using the molecular dynamics method and statistically investigate the cluster formation in detail.
