The permeation and accumulation of hydrogen isotopes in the plasma facing wall of a deuterium (D) and tritium (T) fueled DT fusion reactor affect the feasibility and safety of the fuel cycle. This research group has focused on the deposition layer formation by sputtering of the counter wall material and has been working on modeling the hydrogen permeation behavior during the formation process of the tungsten (W) deposition layer, which is a candidate counter wall material. On the other hand, helium (He) produced by the DT reaction also enters the opposite wall. Therefore, in this presentation, we report the results of the plasma-driven permeation experiments during the W deposition layer formation process, in which hydrogen was mixed with He.
