[3B03] Flow field evaluation of MHD free surface flow under uniform magnetic field in electromagnetic force controlling fin structure

We have proposed a method using electromagnetic force controlling fins for flow mixing of liquid film flow in a liquid metal divertor. In this study, in order to evaluate the mixing effect in liquid metal film flow (free surface flow), we performed liquid metal flow experiments under a uniform magnetic field and evaluated the dependence of the flow on the fin structure. In addition, we performed MHD free surface flow analysis in the same configuration and compared the results with the experimental results to consider the relationship between the fin structure and the mixing effect.
