In cancer treatment using radiation, radiation visualization is an essential technology for accurate evaluation of dose distribution. At our laboratory, we have developed a measurement system that combines a blue inorganic EL light source specialized for PVA-KI gel dosimeters and a digital camera using a macro lens. PVA-KI gel irradiated with X-rays was photographed using this system. The captured image was converted to RGB values. Based on the converted RGB values, they were converted to absorbance using Beer-Lambert's law, and the relationship between absorbance and absorbed dose was clarified.
