As the seismic isolation device for a fast reactor plant, we have developed a horizontal seismic isolation device and a three-dimensional seismic isolation device. The horizontal seismic isolation device is composed of a thick laminated rubber and a horizontal oil damper. As element tests of the horizontal seismic isolation device, we conducted characteristic tests using a half-scale thick laminated rubber, and reported the results of the load-displacement relationship, linearity, and fracture limit data. We also developed a horizontal oil damper, and reported the results of the load-displacement characteristic tests, as well as the achievement of a maximum load of 675kN and a maximum speed (allowable speed) of 2.7m/s.
