The transmutation capability of TRU and MA for a small 700MWt molten chloride salt fast reactor has been evaluated based on burnup calculations and compared with that of other fast reactors. As a result, it has been found that the MSR has a TRU transmutation capability equivalent to that of the sodium fast reactor under the same conversion ratio and that the MA transmutation capability increases with the amount of MA loading and becomes higher than that of the sodium fast reactor.
