[1L18]Numerical Analysis of Irradiation Parameter Dependence of Void Swelling in RAFM Steel

Reduced activation ferritic steel is a candidate structural material for fusion DEMO blankets. The blanket structural materials will be exposed to an average of 14 MeV fusion neutron irradiation, and various lattice defects (dislocation loops and cavities) will be generated in the materials. In particular, cavities are known to cause volumetric phenomena (void swelling) in materials. In this study, the formation behavior of cavities is described by a mechanistic model and the dependence on various irradiation parameters is evaluated.
