Professor Hisashi Ninokata, Honorary Professor at Tokyo Institute of Science and Visiting Professor at the Politecnico di Milano, was awarded the Seaborg Medal at the ANS Winter Conference (November 22, 2024) in recognition of his significant contributions to the field of computational thermal hydraulics and his international contributions to the development of liquid metal reactors and safety analysis. The award is a source of pride for our society and also a sign of our responsibility to the world.
In this session, following a ANS Seaborg Medal Award Lecture by Professor Ninokata, a panel discussion will be held, with reports from JAEA, the Young Researchers' Liaison Committee of the Society, and universities on the current status of young researchers' overseas activities, followed by a discussion on strategies for activating young members' overseas activities.
