To separate platinum group metals (PGMs) contained in high-level radioactive liquid waste generated during spent fuel reprocessing, impregnated adsorbents were prepared using sulphur-containing amide-type extractants with different side-chain structures and numbers of sulphur atoms. Batch adsorption tests were conducted to investigate the effects of factors such as acid concentration and contact time, and the adsorption and separation performance for PGMs was evaluated.
