In the safety assessment of TRU waste disposal, the chemical forms of C-14 leached from hull and end-piece wastes critically influence nuclide migration scenarios and parameters. This study conducted C-14 speciation for irradiated end-pieces by combining high-performance liquid chromatography separation with highly sensitive accelerator mass spectrometry.
