Development of a High Hydrostatic Pressure Device for Tissue Inactivation

Pressure stimuli, including hydrostatic pressure, osmotic pressure, and compressive force, induce a variety of physiological and pathological conditions at the molecular, tissue, and organ levels. Recent studies have shown that pressure stimulus signaling elicits a wide range of cellular responses, providing new insights into biological and biomedical research areas. In this symposium, we will present and discuss recent studies on how pressure stimuli regulate physiological and pathophysiological functions and provide new insights into medical treatments.
