Analysis of intractable neurological and psychiatric disorders using comprehensive analysis with differentiated cells derived from diseasespecific iPS cells

By the innovation of the disease-specific cell differentiation technology as a human disease model, it has become possible to grasp the mechanism of the disease which has been difficult to clarify until now. Recently, attention has also been paid to the analysis of the disease state according to the time-axis of the disease state onset or exacerbation by utilizing human disease-specific iPS cells and human microglia-like cells (iMG), and to the analysis of 3D structure and cell-type specificity. Furthermore, attempts have been made to evaluate the systemic effects of disease-specific candidate factors obtained from such analyses in an unbiased manner by performing reverse translational research using genetically modified animals. In this symposium, we will summarize the latest findings obtained from these technological applications, from basic biological research to clinical application strategies, under the title of "Time-dependent and disease-specific differentiated cell-interaction analysis and unbiased reverse translational research" by gathering researchers who are active at the forefront of this field.
