<strong>Ethics, laws, and guidelines of cadaveric use in anatomical education, research, and surgical training</strong>

When conducting research involving animals or human subjects, it is essential to consider the ethics, laws, and guidelines involved. There are various ethical issues surrounding basic medical research. In this symposium, Dr. Miki Nagase (Kyorin University), Dr. Katsuki Nakamura (Kyoto University), and Dr. Shoji Sanada (Kobe University) will give lectures on recent topics such as the ethics of training and research using donor bodies in the field of anatomy, the ethics of research using animals, especially monkeys in the field of physiology, and the ethics of research in actual clinical settings conducted as medical practice in the field of pharmacology, respectively. They will give us an opportunity to reconsider how the ethics of basic medical research should be.
