Advancing Space Bio Experiments with a Lensless Microscopic Device

IDDK has developed the “Micro Imaging Device (MID),” a lens-free, semiconductor-based microscope designed for versatile use in various research fields and industries. MID is lightweight, compact, and digitally controlled, making it highly compatible with lab automation in studies that require microscopic observation.<br>As part of MID’s advanced development, IDDK is also expanding its focus to space biological experiments. Until now, most experiments conducted in space have been led by government initiatives on the International Space Station (ISS). However, with the ISS scheduled for retirement in 2030, IDDK aims to provide private-sector-driven research services using artificial satellites as a post-ISS experimental platform.<br>In our session, we will introduce MID technology and our space bio experiment service, ”Micro Bio Space LAB".
