We have held symposia titled "Exploring ways to resolve bottlenecks in the implementation of CST" for six times. The guidelines for CST were established in collaboration with the Japan Surgical Society and the Japan Surgical Society, and the symposium has played an important role in the introduction of surgical training at various universities. However,10 years have passed since the introduction of CST in Japan, and many universities have begun to implement CST, suggesting that CST in Japan has entered a new phase. On the other hand, various problems have emerged through the implementation of CST.The purpose of this symposium is to highlight the issues that need to be cleared in order to sustainably implement CST from various angles, and to discuss what kind of measures can be taken to resolve these issues. Specifically, the symposium will deal with inappropriate cases in CST, the relationship with new corporations, the state of equipment development using the remains, and the connection with the government.
