アポトーシス経路において、カスパーゼ９の活性化を行うタンパク質複合体アポトソームのモデル系の構築を指向し、6量体ヘムタンパク質を足場としてDNA相互作用によるカスパーゼ９の集合化を行なった。近接効果によるカスパーゼ９の活性化を確認し、DNA相互作用を調整することでの活性のスイッチングや、集合化するカスパーゼの数を制御することでの活性の制御を達成した。
