In anticipation of realization around 2030, discussions and standardization activities related to 6G are accelerating globally. 6G is expected to support a wider variety of applications and use cases than ever before, and the evolution of the underlying wireless communication infrastructure is essential. This tutorial session aims to provide a comprehensive overview of cutting-edge wireless communication technologies relevant to 6G and to explore future directions for research and development.
The session will cover the following key topics:
+Utilization of digital twins in wireless communication systems and the latest trends in wireless technologies enabling digital twins
+Recent advances in the convergence of communication and computation
+Trends in energy-efficient technologies for wireless communication systems
+Developments in frequency and infrastructure sharing technologies
+Technical highlights from 3GPP Release 19
Through this session, we aim to present a holistic view of the technologies that will underpin 6G and offer valuable insights to early-career and mid-career researchers working on next-generation wireless communication systems.
