Towards 6G, ITU-R is scheduled to complete the formulation of 6G requirements by 2026 and to finalize the specifications for the radio interface by 2030. In line with this, 3GPP aims to complete the first version of the 6G standard (Release 21) by the end of 2028, with discussions on the Study Item for Release 20 starting in August 2025, marking the beginning of earnest efforts towards 6G standardization. In this panel session, we will invite experts from the industry, who are leading international standardization, as well as from academia, which is engaged in pioneering technological research. They will give talks on the latest trends in wireless technologies, new frequency bands, and requirements in 6G, and we will discuss the future outlook of 6G standardization, as well as the direction of research on technologies that need to be addressed moving forward.
