企画セッション

ISO/TC211における地理空間情報分野の国際標準化は今年で30周年を迎え、陸域、海域、空域、交通、BIM/CIM、そして都市計画等、様々な分野で利用が拡大するとともに、FIG、ISO/TC204、OGC、EUのINSPIRE、そしてOSGeoなど、様々な国際組織が、応用分野の標準の開発や活用を進めています。その影響は我が国にも及ぶと共に、日本から国際標準を世界に提案する試みも見られます。<br />　地理情報標準は、空間データやサービスの品質管理に役立ち、相互運用性を高め、情報共有が促進され、多重投資の回避に役立ち、世界的な一体感と信頼感を築くといわれています。一方で、その整備や活用に携わる人材の不足が懸念されています。このシンポジウムでは、国際標準化、国際協力、そして人材育成に関わる研究者や実務者をお招きして、地理情報分野の「標準と人材」をテーマとした議論を通じて、標準化の今後の方向性と人材確保の方策について議論します。
