Due to the difficulty of controlling graphene doping, asymmetric metal contacts are employed, generating a built-in electric field for photovoltaic carrier separation. Furthermore, a suspended graphene structure reduces substrate-induced scattering and thermal dissipation, enabling clearer interface-dominated transport.
