[Th-P-20]Controlling Interfacial Ferroelectricity and Its Interaction with the Environment

Twisted homobilayer transition metal dichalcogenides reconstruct into triangular domains with alternating stacking, producing spatially varying vertical polarization. Using STM/STS of graphene on twisted homobilayer WSe2 and WS2, we observe shifts of the graphene’s Fermi energy, revealing polarization-driven electrostatic effects.
