We report iron-doped carbon dots (Fe-CDs) in a chitosan framework. Fe 3d states induce broad-spectrum absorption and non-radiative decay. The porous matrix nanoconfines water, lowering vaporization enthalpy. This coupling yields a 2.87 kg m-² h-¹ solar-to-vapor rate, and Fe-sites catalyze solar-thermal photo-Fenton reactions.
