Since 1996, CAN SUPERCONDUCTORS has been a leading European supplier of REBCO and BSCCO high-temperature superconductors (HTS), delivering materials for both cutting-edge research and a growing portfolio of industrial applications. With an annual in-house production capacity reaching up to 2 tons—including powders, granulates, and targets for coated conductors- we manufacture thousands of HTS bulk parts in a wide range of geometries and compositions every year.
This presentation will highlight CAN’s latest innovations in HTS production technology, with a strong focus on industrial applicability, scalability, and quality assurance. We will present selected use cases and application-driven success stories that illustrate the accelerating commercial adoption of HTS materials—particularly in power systems, magnetics, and advanced instrumentation.
Key sections of the talk will cover:
Recent advances in production efficiency and material performance, Strategic improvements for large-scale manufacturing and QA, Our approach to meeting increasing industrial demand, Emerging business ventures, including a novel HTS coating technology and a compact pulse-charged HTS magnet project.
With global interest in superconducting technologies rising rapidly, CAN SUPERCONDUCTORS is actively aligning its R&D and production roadmap with market needs. We will share insights into our current scale-up strategy, partnerships, and outlook on the commercialization potential of HTS bulks in the next decade.
