To research a key factor of an excellent ability of chabazite as ion-exchangers, we conducted the high-temperature single-crystal X-ray diffraction study of a Cs-exchanged chabazite. Our previous study reported that the occupancies of the exchangeable cations in non-exchanged chabazite changed drastically with their migration. However, in the present study, the occupancy of Cs site in the Cs-exchanged chabazite almost unchanged with heating, indicating that Cs+ strongly prefers a specific cation site in contrast to other exchangeable-cations such as Ca2+.
