Crystallization processes of Martian magma inferred from diversity of petrography and mineral compositions of poikilitic shergottites

The recent discovery of many poikilitic shergottites has revealed the diversity of petrography and mineral compositions within this group. Therefore, by comparing the elemental and modal compositions of each mineral phase and estimating the time for cooling and solidification of several samples of poikilitic shergottites by crystal size distribution (CSD) analysis, we attempt to consider the factors that cause these differences and constrain the process of Martian magma crystallization.
