Chloritization occurs in various geological settings, including the seafloor alteration and metasomatisms. In this study, we report a novel texture of chloritization of pelitic schists in contact with serpentinite from the Sanabagwa belt, Kanto Mountains. Chloritization proceeds with preserving the original structures of pelitic schists and micro-porosities were formed at the reaction fronts. We will discuss that mass transport and formation of porosity during chloritization.
