We are pleased to announce that the 17th JBF Symposium will be held from Wednesday, March 4th to Friday, March 6th, 2026, at Arcrea HIMEJI (Himeji Cultural and Convention Center). This symposium is uniquely focused on bioanalysis and is the only event in Japan where experts in the field—spanning industry, academia, and government—gather together.

 

　The theme for this year's symposium is "Unlock Your Potential, Future for the Bioanalytical Expert." While bioanalysis is indispensable in drug development, it's often perceived as a behind-the-scenes player in clinical and non-clinical trials due to its nature. However, we believe that the core of exceptional bioanalytical work lies in outstanding scientific and research capabilities, which enable us to perform method validation and sample analysis under regulation. In acknowledging your achievements as BioAnalytical Experts (BAE), this theme underscores your advanced scientific and research competence. It reflects our aspiration to maximize these capabilities, further establishing bioanalysis as a pivotal element in drug discovery research, and paving the way for future achievements.

 

　This symposium will feature sessions based on feedback from a post survey of the 16th JBF Symposium and recent trends. We plan to cover topics of interest such as ICH M10, the analysis of large molecular drugs including antibody drug complexes, the analysis of medium molecular drugs like nucleic acids and peptides, biomarker analysis, and AI and automation technologies. In addition to the regular Discussion Group poster presentations, we will also invite submissions for general poster presentations and aim to hold open calls for oral presentations by young researchers. Further details on submissions will be provided separately, so please consider registering your presentations. Moreover, we are considering organizing open communication events after some sessions to follow up on the session content. This is a prime opportunity to gain the latest information on bioanalysis, and we warmly welcome your participation.
