近年発生した被害地震において、建物の構造的被害のみならず、揺れに起因する什器の転倒や設備機器の故障、非構造部材の損傷などの室内被害が多発し、建物の機能が失われた事例も少なからず報告されている。これによる建物の継続使用性や補修の要否、人的被害の発生状況を即座に把握することは、地震後の早期の復旧・復興計画(レジリエンス)策定のために極めて重要である。本オーガナイズセッションでは、今後の発生が危惧される巨大地震への直後対応として、建物の構造的および室内被害・人的被害を迅速に評価・把握するための建物モニタリング技術に関する最新の研究について議論する。
