We investigated the sensor characteristics of Pd/Y multilayer films modified with Au or Pt, as well as their performance under controlled atmospheres containing water vapor and other gases. It was found that depositing Au or Pt layers onto Pd/Y thin films enables faster hydrogen detection at low concentrations.
