This session will highlight actions taken across various geoscience organizations to help identify and address issues around gender diversity, and its impact in the geosciences. Presentations are invited that would help highlight key initiatives, demographic trends, promising programs, partnerships and remaining issues and barriers around gender diversity or other interrelated global sustainable development goals (SDGs), with a focus across all organizational programs and activities. Work underway in government agencies, academic institutions and industry sectors are also invited, including the work and perspectives of social scientists. The session is sponsored by representatives from JpGU, EGU, GSA and AGU.
