Sat. May 20, 2017 10:45 AM - 12:15 PM JST
Sat. May 20, 2017 1:45 AM - 3:15 AM UTC
Poster Hall International Exhibition Hall HALL7_4
convener:Kazuaki Nishii(Graduate School of Bioresources, Mie University), Yoshi N Sasaki(Hokkaido University), Shusaku Sugimoto(Graduate School of Science, Tohoku University), Shun Ohishi(Department of Earth and Planetary Science, Graduate School of Science, The University of Tokyo)
The extratopical ocean had been considered passive to atmospheric variability. Recent studies, however, revealed some active role of the extratopical ocean in modulating the atmosphere. The goal of this session is to deepen our understanding of the air-sea interaction in the extratropics. A wide variety of researches whose topics range from meso-scale to basin-scale, and from daily to global warming are welcomed. Researches on cloud, aerosol, and ecosystem related to the extratopical air-sea interaction are also welcomed.
