Propylene, a lower olefin, is important key substance in the petrochemical industry. As a novel propylene production method, the direct synthesis of propylene from ethylene is attracting much attention. In this work, we synthesized Ni loaded core-shell zeolite catalyst, and it showed high activity in ETP reaction. From TEM observation, we confirmed no aggregated Ni in core-shell catalyst. TG curve quatitatively showed the core-shell strucuture reduced coke deposition. Silicalite-1 shell layers suppressed Ni aggregation and the formation of carbon nanotubes.
