Presentation on the development of mesoporous silica type bimodal catalysts with large pores for easy diffusion in the pores and small pores for high dispersion of active metals in the development of long-chain alcohol production technology using synthesis gas as feedstock. In the catalyst preparation, mesoporous silica-type bimodal supports with small pores of 3.5 to 3.9 nm and large pores of 42 nm were generated by increasing the stirring rate and H2O/Si ratio for the alkyl chain length of the active agent, C22. Co was loaded on the resulting bimodal support, and HAS catalytic performance was evaluated: CO conversion was 50-52%, which is higher than that of unimodal catalyst (34%).
