In the Passive NOx Adsorber Pd/CHA, it is known that water vapor inhibits NO adsorption. However, this study discovered that supplying water vapor during NO adsorption increases the amount of NOx adsorbed. This enhancement was not observed when NO was supplied at low concentrations without simultaneous exposure to water vapor. It became clear that the promotive effect of water vapor on NOx adsorption only occurs when both NO and water vapor are present together.
