This paper presents an efficient synthesis of biobased poly(ester amide)s placed peptide branches as a middle segment in the monomer unit by acyclic diene metathesis (ADMET) polymerization of α,ω-dienes derived from oligopeptides, castor oil, and tartaric acid using ruthenium catalyst. The physical properties of the resultant polymers are strongly affected by the ester amide segment employed possessing various oligopeptides. The resultant polymers possess high yield strength that can be used in structural applications.
