With the increasing energy consumption and depletion of crude oil, developing new routes for sustainable green fuels and chemicals faces more and more demands. It also can decrease the heavy dependence on petroleum resources. The route of converting non-oil carbon resources such as coal, natural gas, biomass, and even industrial waste first into syngas and then into high-value hydrocarbons, including aromatics, light olefins, liquefied petroleum gas, and liquid fuels, has been extensively explored. Herein, we report a novel ZnAlOx/SAPO-34 bifunctional catalyst for direct syngas conversion to propane, achieving a high propane selectivity of up to 65% at CO conversion of 40%, and with remarkable stability in 100 hours of experimental evaluation.
