Ammonium cation is well known compounds which causes environmental issues. Therefore, novel wastewater treatment for converting ammonium to ammonium salts is proposed.In our research, we synthesized pyridine derivatives from ethanol and ammonium carbonate for utilization of recovered ammonium salts.Ni supported on hydrotalcite was employed as catalyst.Isotope tracer experiments results showed methylpyridine derived from ammonium carbonate and ethanol was synthesized.
