Currently, the evaluation of durability is important in the development of catalysts for the production of bio-jet fuel from vegetable oil. Elucidation of the reaction mechanism is essential to elucidate the deactivation mechanism. Therefore, in this study, hydrogenation of a model compound, methyl laurate, is performed to elucidate the reaction mechanism through kinetic analysis. Reaction tests are conducted by changing pressure, SV, and temperature. The kinetic analysis will be performed using the reaction rate obtained from the reaction tests and the Langmuir-Hinshelwood type reaction rate equation.
