Achieving carbon neutrality necessitates the societal implementation of Direct Air Capture (DAC) technologies for capturing CO2 directly from the atmosphere. Our research group has developed separation membranes for DAC using ionic liquids, which are non-volatile and non-flammable solvents. In this presentation, we will introduce the newly developed mixed ionic liquids, the CO2 separation properties of membranes using these ionic liquids, and the results of prototypes aimed at the continuous production of these membranes.
