[2B21] Synthesis of polar functionalized polyolefins using Ni/ALPHA catalysts

Polyolefins suffer from low surface properties, such as adhesion and dyeability. Since these properties can be improved by incorporating polar functional groups, various incorporation methods have been developed. Among them, we have focused on the coordination copolymerization of olefins with polar monomers and have developed an Alkylene-Linked Phosphine Alkoxide (ALPHA) ligands. Ni complexes ligated with ALPHA afforded copolymers with great activity and could copolymerize olefins with various polar monomers. In this presentation, detailed polymereization results will also be discussed.
