As one of the CCU technologies, non-reductive synthetic methods of useful chemicals for production useful chemicals using CO2 as carbonyl source have attracted significant attentions. We have developed synthetic method for isocyanates, which are industrially important raw materials of polyurethane production, from CO2. In our method, carbamates were first synthesized from CO2 and amines, and subsequently, the carbamates were converted into isocyanate through a dealcoholization reaction.
