金属塩化物を黒鉛層間に挿入し、水素還元を行うことで黒鉛層間に二次元状の金属ナノ粒子を調製できる。これまで、黒鉛層間に形成したPtナノシートやIrナノディスクなどは黒鉛表面に担持したナノ粒子と異なる触媒活性を示すことを報告してきた。本研究では、黒鉛層間にPtナノシートを形成し、SnCl₂を黒鉛層間に挿入したのちに水素還元を行うことで黒鉛層間にPt-Snバイメタルナノシートを黒鉛層間に形成することを試みた。
