Olefin polymerization by Metallocene-catalyst is a highly efficient method to obtain copolymers with high molecular weight containing bulky cyclic olefins, functionalized monomers, etc. and is continuing to create new polymers through ligand modification. However, despite it is possible to control the glass transition temperature, molecular weight, and other properties by changing the monomer species and feed ratio, there is still great potential for the development of highly functional polymers by taking advantage of the ability to freely manipulate the physical properties. In this study, we focus on the correlation between polymers synthesized mainly from branched olefins or α,ω-diolefins and their physical properties, and discuss their superiority as materials.
