In this study, titanium complexes containing unsymmetric imidazolin-2-iminato ligands were used as catalysts for ethylene copolymerization with norbornene (NBE) and tetracyclododecene (TCD). In particular, the half-titanocene catalysts exhibited superior catalyst performance to afford the ethylene copolymers possessing high glass transition temperature (Tg). The catalytic activities were improved by increasing the temperature, indicating enhanced performance under elevated conditions. The copolymerization results will be discussed in more detail at the symposium.
