Organosilicon compounds are versatile synthetic intermediates for value-added molecules, such as pharmaceuticals and functional materials. Therefore, the development of efficient synthetic methods for organosilicon compounds is highly desirable. In this study, we found that supported Au catalysts promoted 1,4-disilylation of α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds in the presence of disilanes as silyl source to give various organosilicon compounds efficiently.
