Damage caused by lightning strikes includes not only direct strikes,but also backflow and induced lightning.Our refineries have experienced numerous incidents of control device failures caused by backflow and induced lightning.In preparation for possible future lightning straikes,we have investigated the mechanism of lightning damage at our refinery and took measures to reduce lightning damage.We will introduce these measures here.
